Ilgar Hajiyev is an Azerbaijani businessman and philanthropist with 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He established multi-billion-dollar companies in Azerbaijan and Russia focused on residential and infrastructure construction.
His businesses fell victim to illegal corporate raids by corrupt politicians and businessmen in Azerbaijan and Russia. Now based in the United States, he campaigns for justice and is seeking to bring to account the individuals responsible for the theft of his businesses.
He is married to Sona and has 6 children.
After the raids on his businesses, he converted to Christianity and has found strength in religion.
